    KEAM is the Kerala Engineering entrance examination for those candidates who wish to pursue UG engineering courses from the prestigious private and government colleges of Kerala. Yes, a student apply for KEAM if they satisfy the eligibility condition:
    1. The appearing candidates should be an Indian citizen.
    2. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are also eligible to apply but they are not entitled to claim any reservation.
    The candidates who are not Kerala origin and even their parents also dont have any residence proof of Kerala, but satisfying the following candidates:

    Hi there,
    If you find yourself in the any of the category mentioned down then you are eligible.
    In case you are a Non-Keralite who has resided in Kerala for 5 years or studied in Kerala until 12th are eligible for this category and rank based admission.
    The 3rd category division of total Non-Keralite will only be eligible for admission to management quota seats in engineering courses in Government Controlled Self-financing colleges.

    In KEAM, there are generally 3 categories through which applicants are segregated.
    The candidates having Kerala as their origin will come under Keralite category. This category is just for the purpose of eligibility for admission.
    The Non-Keralite category also has two further division where in case you are a Non-Keralite who has resided in Kerala for 5 years or studied in Kerala until 12th are eligible for this category and rank based admission.
    The 3rd category division of total Non-Keralite will only be eligible for admission to management quota seats in engineering courses in Government Controlled Self-financing colleges.
