Can a student outside West Bengal opt for WBJEE?

    Hello,
    West Bengal appears to be the only state not insisting on domicile certificate for taking WBJEE. The official announcement has been made and full information is available on its website. However for benefit of students I will state few important facts.The WBJEE will be conducted n 22 Apr 2018. It will be in Pen and Paper mode only. There will be two papers. One for maths and other for Chemistry + Physics. Both papers will be two hours duration. Any citizen of India can appear. He/she should be of minimum age of 17 years. There is no upper limit.     West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or WBJEE is the entrance examination for admission to various state colleges for admission in B.Tech programs offered by the college.
    Yes, the other state student can take the WBJEE examination and be eligible for admission in West Bengal colleges but only under certain conditions:
    1. You should summon the domicile certificate for the state by any legal means you can think of.
    2. If you have completed your class 11th and 12th or basically higher secondary education and can present your report card for the college.

    Hi,
    Yes, outside West Bengal candidates are eligible for opting WBJEE:
    Here is the full eligibility criteria for WBJEE:
    1) Applicant must be a citizen of India.
    2) Candidate must be 17 years of age or above as on 31 December of the year of examination.
    3) There is no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering courses for which the upper age limit is 20 years as on 1 January of the year of exam.
    4) Must pass H.S. (10+2) or its equivalent examination with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and with at least 30% marks in English (for all category of candidates) with indivi

    The WB West Bengal joint entrance examination is a state level common entrance test organised by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. Entrance exam which is conducted to find the candidates for the admission in undergraduate engineering architecture or pharmacy programs offered by various colleges and University of West Bengal through this exam students are eligible for the admission in government colleges or self-financed institutes of West Bengal.
