The procedure is same but you just have to mention that you want admission through lateral entry. -
Yes, you can directly get admissions in the 2nd year of engineering if you have a Diploma degree. You'll find the application procedure for lateral entry students at the Manipal University website. You'll be required to submit all your documents and will be selected on the basis of your record.

Yes, ofcourse, you can get admission through lateral mode. In that you can apply for whichever branch you like if you clear the cut-off of that subject.

Yes definitely. Diploma holders are eligible for lateral admission in the second year of engineering in the same state. Normally admissions are based on marks obtained in Diploma.
