Absolutely! A low CLAT 2026 score does not affect your chances of getting admission to BA LLB or

BCom LLB programs at Chandigarh University. The university follows its own entrance process called

CUCET, which is mandatory for all applicants. Your admission is based on your CUCET performance

and 10+2 marks, so students who did not score well in CLAT still have a clear pathway to join the law

    programs.

This approach allows students from all backgrounds to pursue legal education without being limited by

national-level exam scores. Moreover, performing well in CUCET can also make you eligible for

merit-based scholarships, which helps reduce fees.

Chandigarh University does not consider CLAT scores as a criteria for accepting applicants into their Integrated Law Programmes. The admission process to all Integrated Law Programmes at Chandigarh University is based upon the results of CUCET (Chandigarh university common entrance test), and any student that meets the basic conditions of holding a valid Class 12 Certificate with the appropriate percentage and does reasonably well on the CUCET test will be able to obtain a spot in the integrated law programme, regardless of how poorly the student did in their CLAT exam. Bottom line, the student's performance on CLAT will not determine

  • Level: Comparable overall. NLET may be slightly more analytical/legal-reasoning oriented.

  • Preparation Overlap: Preparing for CLAT will largely cover NLET syllabus, but you may need extra practice on complex legal reasoning questions for NLET.

  • Difficulty: Both are competitive; CLAT is high due to large number of applicants, while NLET can feel harder in legal aptitude sections.
