Can a student with less than 75% in class 12th take admission in NITs in 2017?

According to a recent notice by director of IITs, students in the top 20 percentile or with 75% or more can only take admission in the NIT or IIIT.

Hello, Greetings from Shiksha! You should have a minimum of 70% in your intermediate with maths as a background and your JEE Mains score should be more than 200 for getting top NITs. Read NCERTs. Hope you are clear. Good luck!
