There is a lot of scope for architects in the gaming industry. There are a lot of things architects can do in 3D architecture. It is a field that takes you to the limits of possibility in design and architecture.

Yes, an architect can be a set designer, fashion designer, game designer etc. After B.Arch you can specialize in Gaming by doing Masters specifically for that, some colleges offer the course in the name of Digital Architecture.
