Can an engineering graduate from mechanical stream eligible for M.SC physics at IIT, Kanpur after IIT JAM?

I am eligible for every IIT but there is minimum eligibility criteria, and I want to do M.Sc in physics. The problem is only with the minimum eligibility criteria. What shall I do about this?

Yes, you can but I'll suggest you to go for M.Tech instead of M.Sc physics at IIT Kanpur.
