Yes, he can.
Minimum requirements:
50% marks in any stream.
Must have completed graduation in case for opting MJMC (noe compartments, reappears or backlog).
* as most of the colleges do not give admission as per UGC rules.
It does not require any journalism background for opting BJMC or MJMC but

Yes, for sure. It is a vast and emerging industry. It is open to all. A student of science, humanities, etc. can also apply.
