Can anyone change his branch after 1st year exams in BIT Sindri with good performance in the exams?

Vacancies accrue every year in second year because of students moving out based on JEE and BITSAT etc performance. Therefore, every engineering college allows change of branch subject to availability of vacancies or slot and allocation of branch is based performance in first year and other criteria
