    The following are the list of jobs for a mechanical engineer with their recruitment source.
    1. JE and SSE in Indian railways through RRBs
    2. AWM in defence, and Railways through IES
    3. Asst. Managers in PSUs through GATE
    4. AE in CPWD and PWD through IES and state public service commission respectively
    5. Production, quality control and maintenance engineers in private sectors.
    6. CAD/CAM, Design, planning and process engineers in private sectors.

    Graduate mechanical engineer have several job opportunities in government and private sectors. This is my advise to you that you have to participate in GATE exam, if interested for government or its PSUs. GATE is the only exam which can open the doors of several jobs opportunities for you. Apart from this you can participate in UPSC IES exam conducted in every for mechanical, electrical, civil engineers for recruitment of AWMs for its ministries. Further the following are the list of jobs for a mechanical engineer with their recruitment sourse.
