Can anyone tell me about the IAS exam in detail? Is mathematics important for IAS preparation?

    Hello Dear, Recruitment for IAS and other all India Services is done through UPSC civil service examination. For UPSC you need to be a graduate in any streams from UGC recognised institutions. Mathematics is not an issue. I hope you got the hint.

    Hello Akash. There is no criteria of opting for a particular subject for IAS. You can choose any subject of your interest. But if you want to study for IAS with your degree course then BA in economics, sociology, law, history can help you. The syllabus of IAS exam also has quantitative aptitude which is basic mathematics we study from class 1 to 10th. There is no hard and fast rule for opting maths or science in 11th for IAS. Hope you are clear with your doubts.
