Yes, art students can take admitted to Bachelor in Computer Application courses. Eligibility Criteria: Every college has its own eligibility criteria. In general, pass in 10+2 Examination / Equivalent Examination with a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate in 5 subjects including English as a compulsory subject along with 4 subjects with the highest score out of the remaining subjects. Yes, arts students can take admission in BCA courses, but only in selective colleges. The reason is that the minimum eligibility to pursue a Bachelor of Computer Applications BCA is to have passed class 12th. Every college has its own eligibility criteria, and at some colleges, you will need to have mathematics as a compulsory subject in 12th grade to apply. Some few colleges permit non-math students also, and all you have to be is a 12th grade pass out to be eligible to apply. Currently, most colleges have closed admissions and very few have extended deadlines for admission. One such college is IGNOU where the last date to apply is October 20. The fee per semester is Rs. 7,500, and the total fee for three years is Rs. 45,000. You need to have passed your 12th class or equivalent to be eligible to apply here.
