For becoming a pilot you only need 12th with PCM.

No, B.Tech is not going to give any additional advantage or preference for pilot training. The only required educational qualification for becoming a pilot is 12th with PCM. Definitely, it'll help in one or the other way. There are various institutes which provide the courses related to aviation or pilot. You can go through the courses and select the institute as per your convenience.
