I wanna do B.Tech in mechatronics engineering but I want to pursue higher studies in physics for PhD in IIT

If they meet the requirements, a B.Tech. in Mechatronics student may take the IIT JAM in Physics for admission to the IIT for M.Sc. in Physics. Physics must be studied for at least two years/four semesters and mathematics must be studied for at least one year/two semesters in order to qualify for the IIT JAM Physics for B.Sc./B.S. students. According to the rules, BTech graduates who have met the eligibility requirements for Physics for at least two years/four semesters are eligible to take the JAM Maths and Physics exam.
