Yes, B.tech student can join CA course. There are various CA's who are from science background in our CA fraternity.
Since you have done a B-tech, please go for direct entry scheme and register for new Intermediate course of the ICAI.

The minimum eligibility criteria to pursue chartered accountancy course is as follows:
Must have passed higher secondary examination form a recognized board. There is no restriction regarding the stream or the marks secured in the qualifying examination.
Must have qualified Common Proficiency Test
