Well you can apply for admissions without appearing for LPU NEST also. Lovely professional university is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. Students of agriculture are availing a good amount of packages from the recruiters. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. In the situation of Covid-19, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms. Because of which LPU NEST is not compulsory for all the programmes. As for this programme LPU NEST works for scholarship purpose only. Here I am sharing the eligibility criteria of B.Sc. Hons Agriculture programme I. e. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) It is not mandatory for you to give the LPU NEST. For you it is just for an additional scholarship. Though you can give LPU NEST for a second time by applying for it online. LPU is the only private university approved by ICAR Check the website. You need to start the admission procedure soon as the seats are filling fast due to online admissions.

Hi Narain, Sorry to break this out but LPU do not offer any management, NRI or paid Quota. Agriculture is a primary source of livelihood for the majority of Indians. Thus, generally it remains the last priority among students choosing a career option. Which is a very wrong assumption. Agricultural graduates have wide scope of career in public sector and private sector. In fact entrepreneurship is a great opportunity to pursue your prospective career in agricultural field. It is just a myth that Agriculture does not offer job opportunities. Lovely Professional University is the first private University who has got and accreditation from ICAR. Curriculum here is as per the guidelines of ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research) and is designed to train students to understand ways of improving the crop production in a sustainable manner and to provide overall knowledge related to agriculture. The demand for graduates with a degree in agriculture is increasing every day in India and abroad. B.Sc. Agriculture is a 4 year undergraduate professional course offered by Lovely Professional University. LPUNEST is exempted for admission. So, you need not to worry about LPUNEST results, Even if you have not cleared the test and you fulfill the eligibility, you can get admission. Hi, Agriculture course of LPU is in high demand. So, In order to get admission you need to meet the eligibility criteria. I am sorry to say that there is no quota or donation accepted at LPU. If I talk about the eligibility of B.Sc (Hons. ) Agriculture, LPUNEST is mandatory. So, if you want to take admission, make sure you meet the eligibility criteria and I would suggest you to prepare well for the same. Thanks

Dear Narain, Yes you can take admission in B.Sc(Hons)Agriculture without appearing in LPUNEST. Due to this Covid-19,University exempted LPUNEST from eligibility. I did MBA from LPU,During my post graduation years I had few friends from agriculture department,Sometimes I used to visit fields,Labs with them they also discussed about placements ,academic, placements etc so I have Idea about this course. Few Points I am sharing which will help you to know more about B.Sc(Hons)Agriculture course:- Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. LPU lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios.
