Can I appear for CA exam without taking maths?

  • Hello Garvita,
    Yes, you can do CA (Chartered Accountant) course without maths too. But a bit of maths is required at the time of entrance exam (CPT) but afterward, it's just your calculations (out of the whole mathematics) that's needed.
    So, it's not a compulsory criterion.
    1) Student of any background like science, commerce or humanities can sit for the CPT (First stage of CA) exam.
    2) But having maths as your additional subject will surely give you an edge in the syllabus of CA.

    Yes, you can. There is no compulsion of maths subject in class 12 to pursue CA further.
    If you have good analytical skills and like to do the calculation then you would enjoy this.
