Yes, you can absolutely appear for both the CAT and TANCET exams. They are separate entrance exams conducted for different purposes:

    • CAT (Common Admission Test): This national-level exam is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to their flagship MBA programs.
    • TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test): This state-level exam is conducted by Anna University for admission to postgraduate Management programs in Tamil Nadu colleges and universities.
    • There's no restriction on appearing for both exams. In fact, some students take both to increase their chances of getting into a good MBA program.

You may write two exams simultaneously, but the fact is that CAT exam level paper is one of the toughest exam in India, as when compared to TANCET exam. So, if you were very well prepared for CAT exam, my suggestion is write both exams.
