    You are eligible to appear in GATE on completion of final year of M.Sc in physics. It will be ideal for you to appear in Physics.

    Yes, you can appear for GATE exam. It's on your choice and a strong area which you should prefer for doing M.Tech.

    Hi Shidharth,
    The minimum eligibility criteria is: If you have Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or Masters degree in Science department are applicable for GATE Exam. There is no marks criteria. So, YES you are eligible to apply for the GATE exams.
