Can I appear for IAS exam after completing B.Tech? Do I need to pursue any other course from a recognised university?

Hello Arun,
To become an IAS officer, it is necessary to have a degree from a recognised university. It is not necessary to have a engineering or medical degree; you can have any degree.
the university or college should be a recognised one.
