Can I appear for JEE Mains exam if I manage to pass class 12th with average marks?

Is it necessary for me to score good marks in HSC to get admission in a reputed college for B.Tech? I don't want to get admission in IITs or NITs.

The average marks must be above 80%.

Yes, you can appear in IIT - Mains. You can opt for other good private and state engineering colleges. You can also write state entrance exams like WBJEE, KCET or private institute exams like VITEEE.
