Can I appear for JEE Mains exams?

I opted for PCM, english and painting in HSC.

You can also give the exam when you are appearing in 12th. It is not compulsory to clear before JEE exams. But, after JEE, when you want to take admission then JEE marks and your 12th percentage will be seen.

Yes, You should have PCM in class 12th, since JEE paper I for entrance to engineering consists of 30 questions each of mathematics, physics and chemistry. Also, you should have passed class 12th in 2015 or 2016.
