  • Yes, you can apply for B.Tech at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai without a JEE Main score. But you have to attempt VITEEE (Vellore Institute of technology engineering entrance exam). It is mandatory to attempt this exam to get seat Vellore Institute of Technology in each and every campus.

    VIT does not consider JEE Main scores mandatory for admission to its BTech programs. However, candidates cannot apply for BTech at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai without taking the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). VITEEE is a computer-based test that assesses a student's knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. To be eligible for BTech at VIT Chennai, the Candidate must have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45-50%. You must also have passed with a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology (PCM/ PCB) in the qualifying examination.

    Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai conducts admission to the BTech course is entrance-based. The institute accepts ih-house entrance exam Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). Higher Secondary Board, JEE Main/ SAT scores will not be considered for admission if you appear in VITEEE.     Yes, you can apply for BTech at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai without a JEE Main score. VIT Vellore BTech courses admission is done based on merit in the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). This entrance exam is conducted by VIT for admission to BTech courses offered at its different campuses. The candidates shortlisted based on exam scores have to participate in the counselling round for seat allotment.
