Yes, of course you can apply. Even final year students can apply for this exam.

Yes, you can apply after B.Tech although you can give this exam 4-5 times after B.Tech.

Hello Vaibhav, Yes, absolutely. The eligibility criteria for GATE is as follows: Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture (4 years after 10+2/ Post-B.Sc./ Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programs. Good luck. Thank you.

Clear GATE, state or institute level equivalent with a good score and you will become eligible for an M.Tech programme. Some companies accept GATE scores for their recruitment process.

Yes, only students who have completed their B.Tech or M.Sc or are in the final year of the same can appear for GATE.

Well,the "GATE" Exam is an entrance for two things: 1. placement in the PSU sectors 2. Admission to the M.Tech courses at IITs,NITs,etc So very clearly, one can only sit for the GATE Exam after B.Tech as it is the entrance for the corresponding master course, I.e M.Tech.
