    No, Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test is conducted only for state students. However, courses offered by HPCET are Master of Technology, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Science, Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology BHMCT Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Computer Application, and Bachelor of Computer Application admissions into the participating institutes of the state.     Yes. Candidates belonging to foreign nationalities or those candidates who are Non-Resident Indians (NRI) can also apply for HPCET 2023. They must check the eligibility criteria of different institutes in this regard and ensure that they satisfy them. It may be noted that the NRIs and Foreign Students need not appear for HPCET 2023 Examination to be considered for admission. A merit list based on the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination will be used to provide admission. The minimum HPCET 2023 eligibility criteria for such NRI and Foreign students for admission into HPTU courses are the same as those for Indian students

While filling out the HPCET application form, the candidates will be able to select their choice of exam centres. From the available list, the candidates will have to select the exam cities in the order of preference. Based on the preferences and availability of the centre, the authorities will allot the HPCET exam centres. The details of the allotted HPCET exam centre will be released through the HPCET admit card.

The last year cutoff of Computer Science courses in the HPCET was 20% for the general category candidates and 15% for the reserved categories. For HPCET 2023, it was a minimum of 55% in Class 12 for the general category and 50% for the reserved categories. Admission will be on the basis of merit in the HPCET exam and the number of applicants and seats available. These cutoffs are indicative and may vary each year based on overall exam performance and institutional policies.
