KMAT cut off marks at Poornaprajna Institute of Management is usually at the 100-150 rank level among the Karnataka residents. Although the exact figures change every year, Poornaprajna accepts MBA students on the basis of rankings in the KMAT and other university entrances such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, or Karnataka PGCET, among others so that MBA entrants satisfy both academic standards and entering exam levels.

No, KMAT scores are not compulsory to get admission into the MBA course at KAU, because the university also considers relevant scores from other entrance exams, such as CMAT/ CAT. Therefore, candidates with relevant scores in KMAT can get admission to MBA courses. However, it is not compulsory. Candidates with relevant scores in any of the entrance exams- CMAT/ CAT/ KMAT can get admission to the MBA course.

A good score in KMAT is subjective. However, a score between 104 to 106 can be considered good for the general category for admission to the tier I KMAT colleges. Whereas for admission to Tier 2 and Tier 3 colleges in Karnataka, a KMAT score between 70-80 is also fine.
