Can I apply for mechanical engineering in Canada? I scored 76.2% in class 12th and have got more than 5.5 bands, i.e. 6 bands in IELTS.

After class 12th, you need 6 bands overall in IELTS with not less than 5.5 in any module. So, your 12th percentage and IELTS score seems perfect to me. Get yourself enrolled in Bachelors degree, you will get the visa. All the best!

Your academic percentage is great as per there requirements, but you have to score over 6.5 in IELTS with minimum 6 band in each section, but you can try because you are going to do B.Tech.
