7 years agoYes, you can. But, according to the UGC notification after 2021, no candidate can secure a lecturer job without Ph.D. after NET. Hence, I suggest you complete Ph.D. to secure a better position. -
As per my opinion and my knowledge for applying for the post professor lecturer without completing Ph.D after qualifying UGC NET, you are not eligible as their rules have been changed after 2016, as you must have a Ph.D degree 4 and lecturer, but yes you can apply for assistant professor, if you enroll yourself for Ph.D. and have qualified your UGC NET.

After UGC-NET, you can apply for the post of professor. However, there are many reputed colleges which ask for Ph.D even for the post of assistant professor.

Hello,
You can apply in the Colleges and Professor after qualifying the NET Exam. The NET Exam is mainly conducted in the month of June and December.
Many Colleges and Universities ask for the NET Score and many of them ask for the Ph.D. programme. Ph.D is not mandatory, but it is desirable in colleges and Universities means they prefer a Ph.D candidate over other candidates while interview and recruitment process time.
So, it is better to apply for the Ph.D programme. After Qualifying the NET JRF Exam, you can avail the UGC fellowship worth INR 25000 per month.
