Can I apply in any of the IITs for MBA?

No, GAT and CAT are not compulsory for admission to the UG Diploma at ISAS Pune. CAT and GAT are basically for design courses. These entrance exams are widely accepted by NIFT for both UG and PG courses. ISAS International Beauty School grants admission to UG Diploma courses without the scores in entrance exams.

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research has not released the official cutoff. Based on previous year trends, CAT cutoff for 2024 stood somewhere around 85 percentile for the General (All India) category students.

For admission to the MBA at SJMSOM, the CAT test will be conducted on November 30, 2025. Aspirants of SJMSOM are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2025 will be held in three slots:

• Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
• Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
• Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

No, securing a high CAT percentile is not enough for getting the final admission offer. Candidates have to fulfil other selection criteria such as performance in Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) and overall academic and professional profile.

Apart from the CAT scores, B-schools consider candidates' written and spoken communication skills through Written Ability Test or Essay Writing, Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The B-schools also consider candidates' overall profile such as past academic records, work experience and extracurricular activities or abilities.
