To become a cardiac surgeon in India, obtaining an MBBS degree is essential. A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Cardiology or Cardiovascular Technology does not qualify you to perform surgeries. These programs prepare you for roles such as a cardiovascular technologist or technician, assisting in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures but not conducting surgeries.
