For becoming an IPS officer you need to clear the IPS exam which is held by Union public service commission (UPSC) every year. It is a very competitive exam with more than 100000+ candidates taking the exam out of which under 200 are finally selected. This exam completes in 3 steps: First step is prelims exam , it is objective (popularly known as CSAT). Second step is mains exam , it is subjective (Also known as Mains). Third step is personal interview. I hope this helps Prepare well for the exam All The Best.
