Can I become an IAS officer after pursuing B.A. in English?
I have passed class 12 with 90 percent marks and I have scored 86 out of 100 in English. I am from the commerce background. Should I do B.A. in English in order to become an IAS officer?

Hi Sanandita, Through your degree or post-graduation in English honours, the advantage that you can acquire is selecting English literature as your second paper in optional and particularly you're not doing IAS I mean, IAS is not a course or anything like that. Its a service allotted under the UPSC CSE with other services as well, which you get based on your Merit and Preference filled by you in your Detailed Application Form during the filling of UPSC CSE Mains form separately, after clearing preliminary.
