Following are two options to become a Naval officer in Indian Navy:
    (a) Join Indian Navy through NDA. Selection is based on NDA exam conducted by UPSC. Exam is conducted twice a year by UPSC
    (b) Join Indian Navy through 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) Course. Candidates are called for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their performance in Senior Secondary Education (10+2 equivalent).
