Yes of course you can change the course in LPU from mechanical to CSE in 2nd year, Also you may change after a semester. But I will not recommend this as your one year would get wasted.

You should think carefully and decide which course you actually want to opt for. As switching of course depends on various factors regarding the course you are pursuing and the one want to switch with.

Programme transfer is easier if the new courses you wish to take overlaps with the one you're presently taking. Many people, for example, switch engineering streams after their first year, which is rather simple for them because both streams teach identical

Yes you can change your branch in the 2nd year. You need to visit block 32, Division of Academic Affairs window which is at its basement and request for the same. Or else there will be announcements on your UMS at the end of your 2nd year, stay updated with it.

Hello, Devanshu. If we talk about the Lovely Professional University you can switch from one branch to the next. Every branch's first-year syllabus is nearly identical. However, branch transferring in the second year is dependent on vacant seats in the corresponding branch or the authority's decision. If you wish to change branches, I recommend doing so between the first and second semesters, so that you are in your selected branch for the second semester. All the best.

You can change from one branch to another. Universities allow it after the first year, because the syllabus of all B Tech programs is almost same. However, you will have to check with the university whether seats are available. I don't think there would be an issue. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

In 1st year 90% of every branch are same, for branch shifting in 2nd year it depend upon vacant seats of respective branch or authority will take the respective decision. Generally it is very easy to shift branch if you having some similarity in core branch like mechanical to automobile, CSE to IT etc. I will suggest you if you want to change branch do it in between 1st semester I. e. from 2nd semester you will be in you desired branch.
