Can I change my branch to CSE after taking admission in IIT in any other branch?

I am class 12 student and passed it with 94% in CBSE board this year(2015).My jee mains score is 196. I am qualifying jee advance also. My WBJEE rank is 264.

Hi Abhijeet, If you are studying in the 1st year of engineering course and want to change the branch after completing 1st year of engineering i.e in the 2nd year then you can change the branch in 2nd year if your CGPA in the first year is minimum 8.5 or above and there are no backlog in any paper o
