    Dear Purvil,
What if a mere brand name doesn't get you a good placement? So, don't just go by the name NIT but also see to it what it has to offer you in the name of placements. Opt for some of the good private universities like LPU, SRM, VIT, etc., offering various specializations in B.Tech. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of your marks in class 12th. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class

All depends on your Interest because choosing Branch is much Important You Learn many things in Next 4 years and Also work in same nature for whole Life so I suggest you If you got low rank in NIT then you can Join but important thing is that you should never compromise with Branch
If you can't get branch according your interest then never select NIT college or go for any private college.

    Hi Purvil,
I would like to tell you that just hearing the name of NIT and taking admission is not right according to me. If you really want to excel in the career, first and very important concern is that your interest. You just focus on the branch in which you are interested. It is a myth that only the students of IITs & NITs get the best industry exposure. If you are pursuing a course from the best private college it will also give you best industry exposure, but this is possible only when you go with the right choice.

Don't choose NIT just for the sake of brand. Getting into any branch you are interested is if no use. You can go for good reputed private colleges for the branch you are interested in. If you do hard work there you will definitely fetch a good job. But don't run after the brand name for any branch.

NIT with a lower value branch will be good for you as you will be getting the brand value of NIT.
