    Depends on the branch you choose. If you are looking for Pure Sciences, then there is no need for math. None of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research mandatory requires a math background for BSMS admissions. However, if you are applying for the Engineering Science and Economics programme at the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Bhopal, then you are required to have a math background in class 10+2. Also, as a previous answer pointed out, the Aptitude Test has 25 percent of questions from Mathematics.     IISER EXAM cannot be cracked without Maths as it consists of 45 questions which are a huge number for clearing an exam. At least you must know some basic Maths problems so that you can solve a minimum number of questions to clear the exam.
