    M.Sc. In Geology is a 2-year postgraduate course approved by the UGC. For most of the institutions, including those providing distance education, eligibility for admission to the M.Sc. In Geology requires studying geology at the graduate level. One cannot do an M.Sc. In geology after completing a B.Tech in civil engineering because the eligibility criteria are graduation in B.Sc.
