3 years engineering Diploma holders are eligible for Lateral entry into B.Tech in second year in engineering colleges which have lateral entry provision.

Polytechnic is different than the 10+2 degree or intermediate degree. The criteria for admission in B.Tech 1st year in any colleges is 10+2 or intermediate.
