No it's not compulsory. You can get direct admission through your graduation marks or LPUNEST. As you have scored 72% you can directly get admission in LPU.

LPU is a fantastic place to study CSE. LPU is a well-known private university in India, with more than 30 thousand students from all over the world and 4000 skilled faculty and staff members. There are almost 200 programmes to select from, and LPU's excellent infrastructure provides all of the necessary amenities on campus. LPU's placement possibilities are far superior than those of other private institutions,. As a result, I would advise you to pursue your higher education at LPU.
