Can I do BBA MS 5 year programme than apply for PGP in IIM-A? Is that possible and for that should I apply for NPAT entrance exam?

IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA) does not offer a dedicated Master's in Hotel Management like some hospitality institutes or Institutes of Hotel Management do. However, it does offer master's‑level management programs that are relevant if you're interested in management roles in hospitality or related sectors. 

The closest regular master's‑level full‑time programs at IIMA that could be relevant for someone wanting strategic, managerial, or business leadership roles (for example in hospitality chains, tourism firms, service operations, etc.) are:

1. MBA – Post Graduate Programme (PGP)

• This is IIM Ahmedabad's flagship master's degree in management (equivalent to MBA).

• Duration: 2 years, full‑time residential.

• Admission Test: CAT (Common Admission Test) for Indian candidates.

• Then shortlisting → Written Ability Test (WAT) → Personal Interview (PI).

Application Procedure

1. Register and apply online on the official IIM Ahmedabad admissions portal during the application window (starts after CAT results).

2. Pay the application fee online (fee and exact dates are announced each year on the IIMA site).

3. Submit CAT score and academic records.

4. Shortlisted candidates go through WAT & PI.

5. Final offers are based on CAT score + academics + WAT & PI performance. 

Fee Structure
 Total programme fee (tuition + academic charges) is about ₹25 – ₹30 lakhs for the entire 2‑year MBA (paid semester‑wise). Personal costs (hostel/mess, laptop, travel etc.) are extra.

2. MBA – Food and Agri‑business Management (PGP‑FABM)

This is a specialised two‑year MBA programme focused on food, agriculture, and related value chains — not hotel management but useful if you want to work in food services, food supply chains, procurement, or hospitality operations where food business strategy is important.

Eligibility & Admission

• Must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD).

• CAT score is used for shortlisting for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI).

Fee Structure
 The total fee for the PGP‑FABM programme is around ₹27 – ₹28 lakh for the two‑year duration (includes tuition; other personal and living expenses are extra).

2. Enter your CAT score and details.

3. If shortlisted, attend AWT & PI.

4. Final selection is based on CAT, AWT/PI, academics, and application rating.
