Yes you can pursue B.E. or B.tech in Aeronautical Engineering after completing diploma in mechanical engineering and you can get admission through lateral entry programs in colleges which offer this course. The future aspects are good as there are various upcoming airlines. Although salary package is less in starting but if you gain experience then you may get a good hike and also there are chances of getting into foreign air Carriers also. This is quite a good option but it require a lot of hard work.
