    Hello,
    Yes, you can apply for the CSIR NET Maths. But, before applying for the exam make sure you fulfil all the eligibility criteria.
    Those aspirants who have completed their masters from distance learning are also eligible.
    To appear for the maths subject, your post-graduation should be completed from maths subjects or with the related subject.
    Your age should not be more than 28 years of age, to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and there is no age limit criteria to appear for the post of an Assistant Professor.

    Qualification for the NET exam is a minimum of 55% in postgraduation for unreserved category and 50% for the reserved category. So, you are eligible to do it.

    Yes, you can apply for CSIR entrance, if you have a good grip of concepts. It wouldn't be difficult. Eligibility for applying to net entrance is masters, so can give it a try.
