Can I do my engineering and also become a psychiatrist?

    I believe, The one thing in which we engineers are fantastic is multi- tasking. We can be an engineer (+ psychiatrist /civil servant /CDs officers /entrepreneur/teacher /professors/ scientist and whatever field you can think of. So, you can do it !
    You can take Diploma in psychiatric medicine or to be a psychiatrist you have to get a Bachelor's degree with specialisation in psychiatry.

    Hello Anuradha, yes of course. There are plenty of engineering graduates who have become successful in different fields. Once you obtain degree in engineering then you can think of pursuing psychology. But if you actually mean psychiatry then you need to do your MBBS first and then select psychiatry for MD.
