Can i expect a final call from FMS after scoring very high in CAT 2016?I am having poor academic grades

Dear Tani, FMS selection criteria don't have weightage for academic grades. So, a high score in CAT means a brighter chance of getting a call from FMS. All the Best!

Hi Tani, If you have a good percentile, you can surely expect a call from FMS. Academic grades are not a criteria of selection into FMS though they might help you in the personal interview round.

Mam actually i use to go to coaching class & then when i asked in their head office through a mail of that particular coaching class that as my academic grades are too poor can i get a final call from IIMs if i score high in CAT 2016 as my 2nd attempt because i attempted in 2015 CAT they said it

Hello Tani, FMS doesn't give weightage to your past academic scores or to your work experience. Thus, they won't play a direct role in your selection. So, yes it is possible to get into FMS. There is no CAT PI shortlist for IIMs. Candidates have to simply login with their CAT credentials and fill the PI shortlist form.

There is no minimum qualifying marks for CAT. Anybody scoring above 0 in the exam is eligible for admission, however the B-Schools select candidates on the basis of cut offs which are 60 and above percentile.

The final CAT cutoff are not released publically. However, candidates can check qualifying cut offs in the admission criteria document released by IIMs and other institute before the exam.

CAT cut off is prepared by all accepting colleges individually. There is no one authorized body to do so. Even the IIMs determine their admission cut offs separately.
