To pursue B.Tech in VIT, the candidate must necessarily go through VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). The scoring of JEE Mains or marks in 12 th standard alone are not enough to gain admission in B.Tech. You should have passed 12th grade with a good performance (at least 60% in PCM/PCB) but the main criteria is your VITEEE rank which is obtained after you have given the VITEEE. A valid rank in VITEEE is usually compulsory even in the seats under the management quota, higher fees being charged at lower ranks.
