Can I get a bank managing job after completing BBA or do I need to do an MBA?

Hi Sourav, The minimum eligibility criteria for PO (Probationary Officer) jobs under IBPS examination is graduation. The IBPS is the umbrella organisation which conducts one common entrance exam for entry level positions (Probationary Officer Cadre) for Public Sector banks in India. Similarly, SBI (State Bank of India) also conducts an examination for these positions. So, you do not require an MBA for applying to these positions. Additionally, if you are looking for other high-end banking jobs such as investment bankers, brokers, bank consultants, an MBA from top-notch B-school is almost a necessary requirement to get into that league.

You are eligible to appear for Probationary Officer Examination for a job in public sector banks after BBA. If you crack PO exam then with a few year's of experience, you will become a bank manager. Private sector banks prefer MBA for management roles.
