Can I get a detailed guidance on MBA programs? How can I prepare for it?

To pursue MBA, first, you need to score good marks in any one of MBA entrance exams like CAT /XAT/CMAT/SNAP/IIFT/TISS or any other similar exam. After appearing in the exam, you need to fill the college application form in which you want to take admission. IIMs directly take your CAT scores and generate a list. There are no explicit application forms for IIMs. Based on your score in the entrance exam and your SSC-HSC and graduation score and your work profile, the college will shortlist you for WAT-PI or GD-PI. Based on your field of interest, you can opt for the programme. PGDM course includes all general subjects in the 1st year and specialisations in the 2nd year (students are given choices to choose their stream). MBA programmes, on the other hand, are dedicated to a particular specialisation. B.Com students generally prefer finance. Students from mechanical will find interest in operations but these are just assumptions, at the end it depends on student's interest to choose the stream.

First, you need to write entrance exams among CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT to name a few. Register for any /many of these exams. Give exams and get good marks. Anyone test score will do good if you know which college you want to join and what their selection criteria is? Else, check the top college list in Shiksha based on rankings and the test scores that they accept. College applications will be available on the institute website. Upon applying, you will get a call letter for group discussion, personal interview rounds. Then the results. Refer standard textbooks and online MBA preparation groups for checking the exam formats.
