Yes, you have chances to get a good government college like NIT or IIIT through JoSAA counselling but don't expect a good branch like CSE, ECE, EE or mechanical. So, wait for the counselling round.

Yes, you can get some good NIT, as your rank is good in the category. But, for the good NITs you have to wait till the special round of the counselling as in this round you could even get NIT-Kurushetra.

There is no chance of getting the seat as 8939 category rank is too low. The last year's closing ST category rank was around 4236.
