Can I get a good job in IT sector after completing B.Tech in ECE?

Most of the students graduating in mechanical, ECE, etc. eventually opt for IT sector due to lack of jobs in their own sector. ECE students can get jobs in IT sector if they have sound technical knowledge plus they also need to justify why they are switching from ECE to IT sector.
